Kerameikos / Metaxourgeio is a historical area of Athens. Built on the Eridanus River, which today still flows underground, parallel to the Sacred Way of the Panathenaic Temple, it connected ancient Athens with Plato’s Academy.

Today it is still a lively and humane neighborhood. Despite the certificasion it knows how to organize itself, to welcome those who respect it, to create events and live them. Since 2015 it has organized the now famous Carnival.
